A winter storm dropped heavy snow over parts of northern and central Nevada. 24 hour amounts ending at 08:00 included: 11 inches at Wells, 10 inches at Carlin, 12 inches at McCoy MIne...32 miles south of Battle Mountain, and 10 inches at Winnemucca.
