Early afternoon thunderstorms developed between Grand Island and York and moved slowly southeast. The storms produced very gusty winds and hail up to the size of golf balls. Several irrigation pivots were overturned across this area. Numerous funnel clouds were reported in northern Fillmore County but none reached the ground.
