Low pressure moving northeastward from the Great Lakes through western New England brought a very unusual mixture of February weather to northern Maine. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, drizzle, fog, thunderstorms, and hail were all reported. In extreme northwestern Maine, up to 15 inches of thunder-snow fell at Escourt with 8.2 inches reported in Caribou.
