A mother, washing her daughters hair in the kitchen sink during a thunderstorm, was injured by a lighting strike to their home. Her left hand, which was on her daughters head received a jolt of electricity and threw her across the room.

Her left hand, which was on her daughters head received a jolt of electricity and threw her across the room. Paramedics arrived shortly after the event but only numbness occurred in the womans arm. The child was not injured except for some tingling to her head.
