Strong high pressure, building into the Great Basin, produced strong Santa Ana winds across Los Angeles and Ventura counties. In the mountains, northeast winds through passes and canyons were 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.

In the mountains, northeast winds through passes and canyons were 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph. In the valleys, below passes and canyons, northeast winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph were common. No significant damage was reported.
