Strong microburst winds blew a roof off of an elementary school in Hatley (Marathon county) and deposited part of it on top of a nearby house. Pieces of sheet metal were left hanging in the branches of trees. The tops of pine trees were sheared off and large limbs were driven into the ground. Trees, power lines and a barn were all blown down, and wheat fields were flattened.
