Thunderstorms during the early evening hours on the 27th in Henry County produced flash flooding and damaging winds.Thunderstorm winds downed trees in Martinsville and downed trees and power lines in Danville.Heavy rain resulted in route 220 being closed in both directions in Martinsville. In addition, other roads in Martinsville were also closed as a result of flash flooding.
