A prolonged period of moderate rain on the 1st resulted in the flooding of small streams and creeks in portions of southwest Virginia. The North Fork of the Roanoke River was flooded 5 miles northeast of Blacksburg and in the western portion of Roanoke County.

A prolonged period of moderate rain on the 1st resulted in the flooding of small streams and creeks in portions of southwest Virginia. The North Fork of the Roanoke River was flooded 5 miles northeast of Blacksburg and in the western portion of Roanoke County. In addition, several small streams and creeks were flooded in portions of Carroll County.
