Several funnel clouds were observed by the public and local officials in Utah county during the late morning hours. A thunderstorm periodically spun-down these small vortices as it moved from Utah Lake, east over Payson and then dissipated over Salem. A little later another funnel cloud was reported over Woods Cross in southeast Davis county. Numerous photographs helped verify the event.
