A small tornado touched down northwest of Addison at the Moreland community. A couple of chicken houses were damaged along with a couple of houses. The tornado initially began in a heavily wooded area where there was near total destruction of the forest. However, an aerial survey showed that the tornado weakened very rapidly and was short-lived.
