A strong cold front moved into northwest Utah on this date. High winds developed from the south out ahead of that front as it approached. Two locations in northwest Utah measured warning criteria wind gusts. A gust to 71 mph was recorded at the Great Salt Lake Marina. Minor damage was reported there. An off-duty forecaster also measured a gust to 63 mph in Centerville.
