Rainfall of up to 13 inches west of Llano County on the Llano River watershed caused widespread flooding in both Llano and Burnet Counties. The river rose to a crest of nearly 31 feet in the city of Llano, highest since 1980. All river crossings were flooded through the mid afternoon. The flood wave continued through Lake LBJ and passed downstream, inundating all facilities near the river. Commercial boat docks were washed downstream, some as far as a mile away. The flood wave spread into southern Burnet County during the late evening hours of the 28th. Lake Marble Falls rose so high and so quickly that it cut off residential subdivisions, leaving residents stranded. The water began to recede in the evening of the 28th with all flooding ended by midnight. Over 36 billion gallons of water flowed into Lake Travis in Travis County.
