Damaging Wind in Texas, November 16, 1996
Severe thunderstorm winds damaged signs, trees, and fences in an area bounded by Kell, CertainTeed, Fairway, and 3 blocks south of Southwest Parkway. Numerous sections of privacy fence, limbs up to 4 inches in diameter, and trees up to 2 feet in diameter were downed in this area.

Severe thunderstorm winds damaged signs, trees, and fences in an area bounded by Kell, CertainTeed, Fairway, and 3 blocks south of Southwest Parkway. Numerous sections of privacy fence, limbs up to 4 inches in diameter, and trees up to 2 feet in diameter were downed in this area. Also, a recycling shack was destroyed by severe thunderstorm winds. A Sonic Drive-in had sign and awning damage, and a gas station suffered significant damage to its canopy. Two signs at a bread store were destroyed and two billboards were blown down by the severe winds. An apartment complex also lost some shingles from the roof of some of its buildings.
