A severe thunderstorm brought a swath of large hail to the southern part of Monroe County which reached tea cup size (3 inches) in Gilbert. Vehicles were dented and windows were broken.

A severe thunderstorm brought a swath of large hail to the southern part of Monroe County which reached tea cup size (3 inches) in Gilbert. Vehicles were dented and windows were broken. Damaging winds also took down trees and power lines. In addition to the 3 inch hail in Gilbert, large hail also fell in Brodheadsville (1.75 inches), Stroudsburg (1 inch) and Effort, Saylorsburg and Syndersville (All 3/4 of an inch.).
