A Pacific storm moved ashore into the Northwest. High winds raked the coast with sustained winds of 66 mph and gusts to 83 mph at Cannon Beach on the North Coast. Clatsop spit gusted to 67 mph. A roof was ripped off of a house in Cannon Beach. At Netarts and Astoria winds gusted to 60 mph. On the Central Coast Sea Lion Caves gusted to 62 mph while on the Southern Coast Cape Blanco recorded sustained winds of 54 mph and Port Orford reported a gust of 70 mph.
