The Oklahoma Mesonet site located 3 miles south of Altus in Jackson County measured the following severe five-minute wind gusts: 66.3 mph at 2150 CST, 73.1 mph at 2155 CST, 62.0 mph at 2200 CST, and 61.4 mph at 2205 CST.
