Flash Flood in Oklahoma, May 22, 1996
Thunderstorms during the early morning of May 22nd produced very heavy rainfall which resulted in flash flooding in Pittsburg and Latimer Counties in southeast Oklahoma. In Pittsburg County, street flooding occurred in Hartshorne, and in Latimer County, roads were closed 10 miles south of Wilburton in the Veterans Colony area, and a trailer on a creek in the same area was evacuated.
