A farm 3 miles northeast of Avard sustained extensive damage from severe thunderstorm winds. A hay barn was flattened and strewn across the property, and the roof of a large equipment storage building was scattered for about a mile eastward. A combine header was also smashed by a small airborne storage building. At least 9 utility poles in the area were snapped off at ground level. One horse was injured by debris during the storm.
