A severe thunderstorm produced a microburst of F1 intensity in and around Waterville, with estimated wind speeds between 73 and 112 miles per hour. The damage path from the microburst was approximately 100 yards wide and began about one mile west of Waterville.

A severe thunderstorm produced a microburst of F1 intensity in and around Waterville, with estimated wind speeds between 73 and 112 miles per hour. The damage path from the microburst was approximately 100 yards wide and began about one mile west of Waterville. The damage path was 3 miles long, but was not continuous. Severe wind damage occurred in Waterville, where the roof of a nursing home was damaged and several of its windows were blown out. The winds also blew down a 50-foot high concrete silo, damaged the roofd of several businesses, and uprooted trees which damaged some cars. Several hundred people in Waterville were left without power after the storm. No injuries were reported.
