A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage in Ewing, Hamilton, Northern Trenton and West Windsor Townships in Mercer County. A wind gust to 60 mph was measured in Ewing along with quarter size hail. In West Windsor, a half dozen poles were toppled and several homes were damaged. Trees were uprooted in northern Trenton. In Hamilton Township the severe thunderstorm uprooted several trees and blew away a screened in pool. Public Service Electric and Gas reported about 6,000 homes lost power.
