Flash Flood in Nevada, July 15, 1996
Persistent strong to severe thunderstorms over the Clover Mountains east of Caliente resulted in high runoff levels which filled a retention basin in the Clover Creek drainage. Consequently, the basin failed and sent water, mud and debris down Caliente's Clover Street flooding homes and businesses and washing at least three cars away.
