Numerous trees and power lines were reported down across Ottawa County. Road signs were also bent over in many places. At a point about 2.5 miles northeast of Borculo, a garage was destroyed. This was a building with wood frame roof and cement block walls. The roof was lifted up and the walls blown down by excessive winds. Across the road a 12 foot diameter piece of a barn roof was blown out and carried 50 yards to the northeast. At both locations, branches with good, green wood were snapped out of trees. Diameters exceeded 8 inches. In Allendale, another garage wasseverely damaged. This building was 24 by 36 feet with cinder block walls.
