The same storm that brought heavy snow to the area from Flint south to the Ohio border, brought little snow but very strong winds to the area from Saginaw east across the northern tip of the Huron county. An automated wind gage at Saginaw County's Harry W. Browne Airport reported a wind gust of 75 knots. The high winds created power outages; 4000 people had power interupted throughout Saginaw County.
