A strong eastward moving cold front brought strong south winds with gusts of 40 to 55 mph across eastern Massachusetts. Higher gusts were recorded atop the 600 foot Blue Hill in Milton, where the Observatory recorded a peak wind gust to 67 mph. A few scattered power outages were reported in some communities including Acton, Wayland, Sudbury, Natick, Bedford, Weston, East Boston, and Roxbury.
