Southwest winds with frequent gusts estimated at 60 mph damaged or destroyed the roofs of 36 homes in windward communities from Waimanalo to Kaaawa. Snapped tree branches injured two people in Kaneohe and Kailua. One person was injured by an airborne dumpster and another was injured by a collapsing fence. Scattered felled trees downed power lines disrupting power to approximately 12,500 homes in the Ahuimanu, Kaneohe, and Kailua areas.
