Heavy rain earlier on the 19th and its subsequent runoff caused flooding along the Brandywine Creek from the late afternoon on the 19th through the early morning on the 20th. At Wilmington, the Brandywine reached its flood of 11 feet at 745 p.m. EDT, crested at 12.0 feet at 1045 p.m. EDT and was back within bankfull at 215 a.m. EDT on the 20th.
