Thunderstorms during the evening of April 21st and early morning of April 22nd produced very heavy rainfall which resulted in flash flooding in Washington and Madison Counties in northwest Arkansas. In Washington County, street flooding occurred in the eastern part of the city of Fayetteville, and in Madison County, War Eagle Creek and Kings River both overflowed their banks and flooded county roads. State Highway 23 was also partially flooded 3 miles north of Huntsville in Madison County.
