The episode as NWS AFC wrote it up.

A low...spawned by the remains of ex-typhoon Carlo...moved northeastward along the Bering Sea Coast near Russia. It deepened to an intense 958mb center. Wind gusts were in excess of 40 mph at many areas of southwest Alaska and across the Aleutians and Alaska Peninsula. Akutan...in the eastern Aleutians...reported gusts in excess of 65 mph on Saturday. On Sunday, gusts reached 47 mph at Saint George (part of the Pribilof Island chain). Monday winds gusted to 53 mph at Cold Bay, 47 mph at Bethel and 48 mph at Cape Newenham.
