An intense 974mb low curved north northwest to near Sand Point...weakening to 983 mbs late Thursday. The low then continued to curve slowly north northwest through Bristol Bay, weakening to a 999 mb center at 4 am Saturday. Wind gusts reached at least 45 mph at Akutan on Friday.
