High Wind in Alaska, January 6 to 10, 1996
A very large 976 mb low about 200 miles south of Kodiak combined with strengthening high pressure across the Bering Sea and northwest Alaska to produce brisk northeasterly winds at many locations. The low gradually reformed northeastward toward Middleton Island.
