A vigorous low curved counterclockwise through the easterm Gulf of Alaska, dissipating near Middleton Island late Sunday. Winds gusted to 46 mph at the Valdez city site and also at Whittier.

A vigorous low curved counterclockwise through the easterm Gulf of Alaska, dissipating near Middleton Island late Sunday. Winds gusted to 46 mph at the Valdez city site and also at Whittier. Gusts reached 48 mph at the Valdez airport site Saturday. Wind gusts of 39 mph were reported at Seal Island in Prince William Sound on Saturday.
