High winds overturned a mobile home in Columbus causing two minor injuries. Some tree and roof damage was also reported from this unusually intense storm that lasted about 30 minutes.

Rapidly developing thunderstorms moved quickly through eastern New Mexico. In Portales the strong winds broke numerous windows in homes and uprooted several trees. The SAO for CVS reported a peak gust of 72 MPH, but only one tree was down from these winds.

Fast moving thunderstorms produced winds which broke windows and signs then uprooted several trees in both Clovis and Portales. A peak wind of 72 MPH was recorded at Cannon Air Force Base west of Clovis.
