Severe thunderstorms moving through the county produced three-quarters inch hail at Republic and Strafford and produced very heavy rain that flooded streets in Springfield.
Six homes in the Fenton area suffered roof damage while another 12 to 18 houses were moderately damaged. The width of the damage path was about 40 yards. Power lines were blown down in the Overland area causing power outages.
