Hail driven by thunderstorm winds did damage to a home and stripped crops.
As the storms moved and developed further east, one became severe over Buchanan County. The storm produced high winds in town. At one house a tree fell onto the house injuring a woman. She was trying to close the window when the tree crashed onto the house. She was injured slightly as the plaster fell from the wall resulting in abrasions. Several other trees were also reported down around town.
