Lightning started a fire which extensively damaged a restaurant in Nekoosa (Wood County). A severe thunderstorm with winds to 60 mph caused $150,000 damage around Algoma (Kewaunee County). Damage occurred to roofs, porches and windows as well as trees and power lines.

Severe thunderstorms rumbling over southern and central Wisconsin contained numerous funnel clouds, damaging winds up to 60 mph and hail up to two inches in diameter. In addition, three small tornadoes were spawned over Green Lake County. A tornado touched down in a field three miles southwest of Princeton and another set down briefly in a field one mile west of Berlin. A third tornado leveled a shed and some trees one mile east of Berlin.
