There were several cases of merging storms with lots of lightning and very heavy rainfall. In Blacksburg trees fell across structures and in the area from Blue Ridge to Landrum to Inman there were concentrated spots of microburst damage to mobile homes, sheds and trees. Most other damage reports were to trees and power lines downed.
