The early morning wind event near Port Byron, Illinois was not reported until the following day. Thunderstorms that occurred at about the time of the event did not appear severe on radar. After conducting a post storm survey, it appeared that a small microburst type event occurred as one of the thunderstorms collapsed.

Thunderstorm winds blew down a tree onto a car in Argenta, numerous trees and power lines in Harristown, siding off of a house in Decatur, and roof damage to an apartment building in Warrensburg. No damage estimate was available.
