Thunderstorms in southwest Oklahoma during the evening of the 23rd produced damaging winds. Thunderstorm winds blew the roofs off of several carports, knocked down trees and power lines, and broke off trees limbs in Roosevelt, blew out windows, ripped shingles off of roofs, blew over a stock trailer, and knocked down trees 11 miles west of Granite, uprooted trees and ripped tin from the roof of a barn 6.5 miles east-northeast of Frederick, destroyed a mobile home 2 miles east of Roosevelt, destroyed barns 4 miles northeast of Hollister and 4 miles north of Cooperton and sunk a houseboat on a small lake 12 miles east of Frederick.
