Storm moving through Manistique about 1600 EST caused wind damage to a restaurant's chimney causing bricks to fly off and hit cars. Also heavy rains caused a 10-foot washout of a road that was being resurfaced. Some cars drove into the washout and were damaged.
A thunderstorm moving through Menominee County caused wind damage and blew some trees over on Deadman's Point, just north of Cedar River at about 1610 EST. Reported by Jan Nash, the wife of storm spotter, Captain Jim Nash.
Strong thunderstorm winds blew down several five-inch diameter trees.
