A large section of a roof was peeled off by the wind in the Chambersburg Area of Trenton and crushed a car. Lightning struck the chimney of the same house reducing it to rubble. A few trees were also uprooted.

A severe thunderstorm toppled many trees and limbs in a wide swath in West Central Burlington County including the townships of Medford, Shamong and Tabernacle.

A severe microburst (estimated wind gusts to 70 mph) affected most of the downtown and lake shore areas of Pemberton. At least a dozen large trees were uprooted with numerous limbs down. The greatest damage was done on East Lake Shore Drive. Damaging wind gusts continued in McGuire Air Force Base where a roof blew off and knocked down an adjoining wall of the same building. Lightning struck the freight terminal of the Civil Engineering Squadron and numerous trees were downed at the base. Damage was estimated at $207,000 at the Air Base. A 28 year old man was injured when struck by lightning as he was cooking a cheese steak sandwich in a pizzeria in Tabernacle. He was thrown 10 feet across the room and was treated and released at a nearby hospital. The lightning apparently traveled through an exhaust pipe to the stove.
