Owners of a deli in Dover where trapped when a tree fell on the roof. Along Nault Road in west Dover several homes were damaged. A tree smashed a home in Cheswold.

Damage was 200 to 300 yards across and 15 miles long. The twister moved southwest to northeast and ended in the Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge before it moved off shore. The storm took less than 20 minute to move through the area at a speed of 45 mph.

A 300 foot long chicken house holding 15,000 young birds was destroyed by the high winds. Many trees around the area were uprooted.
