Several trees and power lines were downed along Georgia Highway 20 by thunderstorm winds. Straightline thunderstorm winds caused considerable tree and power line damage in and through- out the city of Rome. Power outages were reported for one to two hours following the wind damage. Twelve to 15 homes and three businesses throughout the Rome area received slight to moderate roof and structural damage from trees downed by thunderstorm winds. One of the hardest hit areas was at the intersection of Old Calhoun and Warren Roads where numerous trees and power lines were downed by thunderstorm winds.

Thunderstorm winds downed several large trees and limbs across United States Highway 41 in Adairsville. Ten homes received roof and glass damage from wind toppled trees along United States Highway on the south side of Adairsville.

Witnesses observed a weak tornado briefly touch down in the historic Barnsley Gardens of northwest Bartow county and uproot 30 to 40 two to three century year old trees. The tornado lifted and touched down again briefly on Hall Station Road, four miles north of Kingston, before dissipating. A few sheds and several large trees were downed on Hall Station Road from the final touchdown.

A weak and short-lived tornado was reported by Cherokee county 911. The tornado was first observed two miles east of Woodstock along Georgia Highway 92 near Bells Ferry Road. The weak tornado skipped east southeast and uprooted several trees along Georgia Highway 92 before receding. One restaurant had its roof peeled off while three homes received roof damage and glass damage from wind blown debris.
