Fuat Oktay, Turkish Vice President, said that 34 people were injured in a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that shocked Istanbul a day earlier, 473 buildings were also damaged. He said that 10 of the injured people are currently at the hospital across the city and others were discharged. 473 buildings in different areas of the city were damaged with cracks on the walls. 14 schools in 9 districts closed for the day due to damage, according to the Istanbul governor's office.
