A shallow quake has killed two people, injured three others and destroyed dozens of houses and buildings in Indonesia's eastern province of Maluku after the disaster struck off the territory a day earlier, an official said on Wednesday. At least 30 houses and one mosque were rattled in Maluku province's capital of Ambon after a 5.1-magnitude quake jolted the area, Eva Tuhumuri, secretary of the Disaster Management Agency in the city told Xinhua by phone.
