1850 Apr 19. A destructive earthquake in the district of Hudavendigar. Heavy damage and loss of life was concentrated between Lubat (Ulubat) and Susurlu (Susurluk). Near Lake Apolyont the ground opened up and in places liquefied. There was minor damage done in Bursa and to villages along the central part of the south coast of the Marmara Sea. The shock was strongly felt as far as Istanbul, Gelibolu and Izmir.
