1697 February 25. Demolished several buildings and houses in Acapulco. Interpretation by the Institute of Geophysics: There are some contradictions in the dates. Some sources put it on February 7. Most of them refer to the 25th, and that is the day defined here. It is an earthquake in the coast of Guerrero most probably of magnitude greater than 7. (reference #13024)
