Significant damage to buildings in the city of Zacatecas is reported. Interpretation by the Institute of Geophysics: It seems to be a sequence of local earthquakes that took place in a period of four months. It is one of the few earthquakes in the seismic history of Mexico that occurs north of the Volcanic Axis and causes material damage.
