April 25, 1568, Bohai Gulf, 39 N, 119 E, magnitude 6.
Laoting: Civilian houses were damaged. The ground
fissured more than 10 m long at two places in Liubian
Village (1 km east of the city). Water and sand gushed out.
Qian'an: Banks of the Luanhe River were cracked.
Xingcheng: City walls collapsed.
The earthquake occurred at Beijing; Zunhua, Shunyi,
And, Miyun, Huairou, Baxian, Baoding, Renqiu,
Changli, Shanhaiguan, Hejian, Lulong, Funing,
Luanxian.Yutian and Fengrun of Hebei Province;
Penglai, Huangxian, Shanghe, the vicinity of Beizhen,
Wudi, Changyi and Laiyang of Shandong
Province.
Notes: The epicenter was in the Bohai Gulf. The
epicentral intensity was uncertain.
