Weather hazards expected... Marginal hail risk. Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk. Limited lightning risk. Limited excessive heat risk. Limited excessive rainfall risk DISCUSSION... There will be a risk for strong to severe thunderstorms through at least 9 AM this morning, with the potential for damaging winds up to 50 to 60 mph and hail up to the size of quarters, especially east of Highway 63. Storms are overall on a weakening trend. Additionally, isolated strong wind gusts may be possible with other storms in western Missouri and eastern Kansas, but the organized severe risk has ended for western Missouri this morning. Localized heavy rainfall and flash flooding will be possible across the area, especially toward central Missouri where more widespread rainfall is possible. Muggy conditions with temperatures in the mid-80s to low 90s this afternoon will bring heat indices as warm as the 90s to near 100 this afternoon, especially across far southwest Missouri. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
