This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north and central Georgia.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight...

An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect across portions of far
northwest Georgia until 8 PM today. Heat index values here are
expected to reach as high as 111 degrees.

Elsewhere in north Georgia, a Heat Advisory is in effect through
Saturday, with heat index values forecast to reach as high as 108
degrees.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and
early evening in north Georgia. Several storms may become strong
to severe, capable pf producing damaging wind gusts, large hail,
and frequent lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday...

A Heat Advisory is in effect through Saturday at 8PM. Hot
conditions persist, with heat index values forecast to be in
excess of 105 in portions of North Georgia and 100 across central
GA.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible each afternoon
across northwest Georgia from Thursday through Saturday. Scattered
thunderstorms will then be possible across the area each afternoon
on Sunday and into next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged
to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to
weather.gov/atlanta.
